Water St Kitchen
Embracing a paddock-to-plate philosophy and relaxed vibe, step into the Water St Kitchen, This airy, light filled restaurant has been transformed from an old Queenslander cottage into a stylish, cosy hub for delicious local food and culinary conversations while delivering big, bold flavours to Walkervale diners.
Owners Jen and Alex Cameron describe their menu as “designed to be very casual” with two or three items each day. The meals are delicately put together using ingredients produced on a range of local farms.
In the kitchen, colourful fruit and vegetables decorate the chef’s table; figs, sweet potato, cherry tomatoes and avocados, all picked from nearby farms.
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, expect to dig your fork into szechuan honey prawns with angel hair pasta or confit chicken maryland, green beans, baby carrots, parsley, baby caper and romesco.
